What payment protection means

When you order a gig, your payment is held by WeaveStacks instead of going to the seller straight away. The seller is paid only when you confirm that the order is complete, or when a dispute is settled in their favour.

How a gig order is protected

Step 1

You pay

The money is held. The seller sees the order and starts work.

Step 2

The seller delivers

You are notified and can review the result.

Step 3

You decide

Choose Release payment & complete if the work is right. Release is final, so check before you confirm.

Step 4

Or open a dispute

If it is not right, open a dispute and the money stays frozen while we review.

Payment protection applies to payments on the platform

Digital products are delivered immediately and are not held. Project milestones are paid from your wallet when you approve them. See Milestones & Payments.

Common questions

Who holds the money?
WeaveStacks holds it, not the seller. It cannot be withdrawn by either side until the order completes or a dispute is decided.
What if I do nothing?
Nothing is released without your confirmation or a dispute decision. If the seller has delivered and you cannot confirm the order, contact support.

Still stuck?

Our team reads every message. Include your order or contract number and what you expected to happen.
