Commission Structure
How WeaveStacks earns from a sale, what you keep and how a plan can lower the fee.
Updated 10/16/2026
How it works
WeaveStacks keeps a commission from each sale and the rest goes to your balance.
- The rate depends on the type of sale: digital products, gigs and services, and plugins have their own rates.
- A paid plan can lower your rate. Compare plans on the Pricing page.
- The rate that applied when an order was placed is the one used for that order. A later change affects new orders only.
See the current rates
The current rates are always shown on the Sell page. Each order in your sales list shows the commission taken and the amount you earned.
A worked example
Suppose a product sells for $100 before tax and the rate is 20%. The commission is $20 and $80 is added to your balance. Taxes collected from the buyer are separate and are not part of your earnings.
Project milestones
Contract milestones are paid to the freelancer in full. The commission applies to product and gig sales.
Common questions
When do I get my share?
For digital products, when the sale completes. For gigs, when the buyer confirms the order. For project milestones, when the client approves them.
What happens to my share if an order is refunded?
The amount credited to you for that order is taken back.
