Terms of Service

The rules for buying, selling and working together on WeaveStacks.

Last updated October 13, 2026

1Accepting these terms

By creating an account or using WeaveStacks you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, and able to enter a binding agreement. If you use WeaveStacks for a company, you confirm you may bind it.

2Accounts and roles

  • Give accurate information and keep it up to date. One person or business should not hold several accounts to get around limits or promotions.
  • You are responsible for everything done through your account and for keeping your password safe. Tell us at once if you think it has been misused.
  • Accounts are clients (who buy and hire), freelancers (who offer services and take projects) or vendors (who sell digital products). Some features need a verified profile or a paid plan.
  • Agencies may invite team members. The account owner is responsible for what their team does and for the access they grant.

3What the marketplace offers

WeaveStacks is a platform that connects buyers and sellers. Unless we say otherwise, the sellers are independent: we are not a party to the agreement between buyer and seller and do not employ freelancers or vendors.

  • Digital products: downloadable software, templates and assets, sold under a license.
  • Gigs and services: fixed-price services ordered from a freelancer.
  • Projects: jobs posted by clients, proposals from freelancers, and contracts with milestones.
  • Plans and extras: subscriptions that unlock tools, Connects (credits for sending proposals) and plugins.

4How listings are ranked

The order you see listings in depends on these main factors. Nobody can pay for a higher place, and no plan changes a listing’s position.

  • Products are listed by number of sales, most first; gigs are listed newest first. You can sort by newest, price, rating or popularity instead.
  • In the default order, listings marked “Featured” come first. Our team chooses them, for example the first products of Founding Sellers while the catalogue is young. They always carry the “Featured” label. When you choose a sort, it is applied as it is.
  • Search results are ordered by how well they match your search words, then by the sort you choose.
  • The “Featured” sections on the home page show listings our team picked.
  • WeaveStacks also sells some products of its own, such as WeaveDesk AI. They are marked “Sold by WeaveStacks, the marketplace operator” and are ranked by the same rules as every other seller’s.

5Digital products and licenses

  • A purchase gives you a license to use the product as described on its page. A regular license covers use in a single end project; an extended license, where offered, covers more. The seller’s license terms apply unless these Terms say otherwise.
  • Licenses are personal and non-transferable. You may not resell, redistribute or share a product or its license keys unless an extended license expressly allows it.
  • Products are delivered digitally and straight away, so purchases are generally final. If a product is materially not as described, contact support and we will look into it under the dispute process below.
  • Sellers confirm that they own or have the right to sell what they list, and that it does not contain malware or infringe anyone’s rights.

6Gig orders and WeaveStacks SafePay

When you order a gig, your payment is held by WeaveStacks and is not released to the seller until you confirm the order is complete or the order is resolved through a dispute.

If there is a problem with an order, open a dispute from your dashboard. Funds are frozen while we review it.

7Projects, milestones, tasks and time

  • A project contract is divided into milestones with an agreed price. The freelancer submits the milestone, and the client reviews it, requests changes, or approves it.
  • When a client approves a milestone, its price is paid from the client’s wallet balance to the freelancer. A client therefore needs enough wallet balance to approve, and should top up before approving.
  • Tasks and time tracking show what is being worked on. A freelancer starts a task’s timer while working, and the client can see who is working and read the time log. Tracked time and approved tasks help the client review the work; they do not by themselves trigger payment or change the agreed milestone price.
  • Clients should approve milestones promptly once the work meets the agreement. If you disagree, use the dispute process rather than leaving the milestone unanswered.

8Wallet, payouts and payments

  • You can add funds to your wallet through the payment methods we offer, and use them to pay for orders and milestones.
  • Sellers earn money to their balance when an order completes or a milestone is approved, and can request a payout. Payouts are reviewed and approved by us before they are sent, and we may delay or refuse one while we check suspected fraud, a dispute or a breach of these Terms.
  • Payments are handled by third-party processors. Their terms and fees may apply, and processing times depend on them and on your bank.
  • Refunds approved by us, for example after a dispute, are returned to the buyer’s wallet.

9Fees and taxes

  • We charge sellers a commission on sales. The rate depends on the type of sale and on the seller’s plan, and the rate that applied to an order is the one shown for that order. A rate change affects only new orders.
  • Subscription plans, Connects and plugins are charged at the price shown when you buy.
  • Taxes such as VAT or GST are added where the law requires them, based on the rules for the buyer’s country. Businesses can provide a tax ID where tax rules allow an exemption. Sellers are responsible for their own taxes.

10Affiliate program

Members may share a personal referral link. When a person signs up through it and makes a first purchase, the referrer earns a commission at the rate shown on the affiliate program page. Earnings clear after a waiting period and are cancelled if the order is refunded.

Self-referral, fake sign-ups, misleading promotion and spam are not allowed, and we may withhold earnings and close accounts for them.

11Your content

You keep the rights to what you post. You give WeaveStacks a license to host, display, translate and promote it on the platform so the service can work (for example showing your listing or profile).

You are responsible for your content. Do not post anything you do not have the right to share, and respect reviews and forum rules.

12What is not allowed

  • Fraud, chargeback abuse, fake or paid-for reviews, or manipulating ratings, rankings or promotions.
  • Illegal, infringing, hateful, harassing or adult content, and anything that contains malware.
  • Sharing or reselling licensed products and keys, or bypassing license checks.
  • Harvesting data, scraping, or probing or disrupting the platform’s security.
  • Impersonating another person or business, or misrepresenting your skills or identity.

13Disputes between users

Try to resolve problems with the other party first, using messages. If that fails, either party can open a dispute from the order or contract. While it is open, the funds involved are frozen.

Our team reviews the evidence and decides whether the money is refunded to the buyer or released to the seller. We may ask for more information, and our decision on how the held funds are handled is final on the platform. It does not remove your legal rights.

14Suspension and ending your account

You can delete your account at any time from Account Settings once your open orders, disputes and balance are settled.

We may warn, restrict or close an account that breaks these Terms or puts others at risk, and may hold related funds while we investigate. Where we can, we will tell you why.

15Warranties and liability

The platform is provided “as is” and “as available”. We work to keep it running and secure, but cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free, and we do not guarantee the quality of what sellers provide.

To the extent the law allows, WeaveStacks is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for what users do to each other. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

16Changes and contact

We may update these Terms. We will change the date above and tell you in the app if the change is significant. Using the platform after a change means you accept it.
